We’re moving a 500W motor through a jig saw body that hits a 55mm max cut in most hardwoods—that’s enough for standard framing lumber or sheet goods, and it’s a trade carton unit so you’re not getting a fancy case with it, just tool itself at 4kg.
Its load speed drops under heavy feed, which is typical for this class, but teh blade stroke stays consistent enough for clean crosscuts if you aren’t forcing it; is the 4kg heft makes overhead work annoying after about 20 minutes, so for those vertical trim jobs you’ll want to brace it differently.
(Lead time is usually in stock but check before ordering bulk) The JS355 uses a standdard T-shank blade interface, not the older U-shank, so you’ll need to swap your blade stock if you’re migrating form a different system—most buyers don’t realize that until the first blade doesn’t lock in.
What it’s not great for is tight curves below a 10mm radius because the orbital action tends to push the blade off line; for straight rips and moderate scroll cuts though, it’s better than a lot of hobby-grade saws that burn the kerf at 500W.
Basically, if you’re reselling to contractors who need a basic beater saw that doesn’t walk on the cut line, this fits—the COA for performnce testing isn’t standard, but our company can provide a test report on a sample unit if you request it at time of order.
