We've seen a lot of buyers fixate on the 30-minute flight time, but honestly, real bottleneck is you'll usually get closer to 25 minutes under a full payload of 35kg — especially if you're running the Z40 model in a headwind.
Most folks come to us after trying cheaper consumer drones that just can't handle the slurry weight or the constant vibration from the sprayer system, and the dual RTK module with GPS makes a noticeable difference in keeping that terrain tracing accuracy under half a meter.
What it does is hold a steady hover even when you're pushing 12 hectares per hour with the 6-12 meter spray width, and the IP67 rating means you can give it a rinse after a day in the field without worrying about the electronics.
Each unit comes with a set of centrifugal nozzles that let you dial in droplet sizes anywhere form 50 to 500 microns, but for most row crops, we actually see buyers running them around the 250-300 micron range for better coverage without drift.
Anyway, the charging time is a solid 10 minutes for the standdard battery — we usually stock the 2000mAh packs, though teh larger 30000mAh option adds roughly 5 minutes of flight time, but it's a trade-off on weight and you'll need to check lead time (usually 2-4 weeks for the big batteries).
Just keep in mind that the 100-150 meter operating range is the max, not the sweet spot — for reliabel obstacle avoidance and night operation, most guys stay under 120 meters, and it's not really suited for tight orchard work because the spray width is too aggressive at the minimum setting.
The Z40 model handles up to 35kg, while the Z60 goes up to 55kg. That extra capacity on the Z60 is ideal if you need to carry heavier spraying tanks or specialized equipment.
The 30-minute flight time is tested under typical conditions with a moderate payload. Heavier loads close to the max capacity will reduce it slightly, but you'll still get solid performance for most jobs.
