We had a buyer last season who was spraying a 30-acre vineyard with inconsistent terrain and kept losing manual control on the slopes, so I looked for something with better positioning and safety nets.
It's got an 8-meter spray range with a sector pattern that lays chemcial down evenly—important when you're paying for premium fungicide—and the tank holds just over 500ml, which is enough for about 15 minutes of work before refill, give or take. integrated control system runs both GPS and manual modes, and the RTK point marking gives you centimeter-level accuracy for marking specific rows or problem spots; we usually have stock on the RTK modules but confirm lead time on teh base station seperately.
What it does is handle wind resistance up to Level 4 and operate between 0°C and 40°C, so it's fine for most spring and fall appliction, but don't expect it to fly above 2000m—that's a hard limit for the motors and battery combo. It's not suited for dense orchard canopy either; the obstacle avoidance is decent for open fields but won't detect thin branches at speed. The poly construction is lighter than metal frames, which helps with battery life, but it's also more prone to cracking if you drop it loading into a truck.
Anyway, the smart return-to-home is a single button press and works even if you lose GPS signal for a few seconds, which we've tested on a windy afternoon. I ordered it because the a full year and the emergency stop is hardwired, not just software.
500ml tank might sound small but for targeted sector spraying on irregular plots it's actually better than lugging a 10-liter backpack.
