12S 16000mAh LiPo is the recommended battery, and with no load you’ll hover about 25 minutes; at full 10 kg payload that drops to 14 minutes, give or take a minute depending on wind. Most people go with the X8 flight controller, but we’ve seen some use it for firefighting dilevery where they swap the battery for a smaller one to fit a hose system.
It’s not really suited for heavy rain—basic anti-rain rating means you don’t want to fly through a downpour, but light drizzle is fine. One thing we learned is the arm attachment points need periodic checking after rough landings, but teh carbon fiber holds up better than aluminum for this weight class.
