We've been shipping these to European clinics for a while now, and the feedback is pretty much the same — they want something that doesn't tie them to a wall outlet or a hydraulic pump, and this fits that niche perfectly, roughly 35kg all packed up so you can move it between rooms or even take it to outreach sites without breaking your back.
The 135kg capacity is enough for most patients, but don't expect it to handle bariatric cases — that's just the reality of a lightweight frame, and the seat height goes from 400mm to 570mm which works for standard operatories but might feel a bit low for taller dentists unless you use a footrest. Lead time is usually 20 days or so from order, and we include a plastic spittoon and a flushing system as standard, so you're not scrambling to piece together parts.
CE and ISO certifications are in place, so import docs for the EU are straightforward — our company provide the COA and the packing list, and customs clears it without hassle in most cases (check with your broker for specific UK requrement post-Brexit though, as they've tightened up on medical devices lately). The LED light arm rotates 360°, which actually makes a difference when you're working on a patient's left side and don't want to keep repositioning whole chair.
Power is 110V to 240V, so it works out of teh box in both the US and EU — you just swap the plug between European standard or American standard, and that's it, no transformer needed. One thing buyers don't always ask about: the backrest goes from 105° to 175°, which means it can go almost flat for certain procedures, but the headrest isn't adjustable independently, so keep that in mind for pediatric work.
The metal frame and PU leather hold up well, but the PU is a bit stiff when new — it softens after a few weeks of use. Anyway, we usually have stock for the US and EU regions, but confirm lead time if you need a larger quantiy because we don't keep 50 units or so on hand for every model.
