One of the repeat buyers I deal with runs a small preschool program and they ordered 15 of these last spring, all in red, because they wanted something safe for the indoor gym and outdoor playground alike that little kids could actually handle on their own—no training wheels to fumble with, just a simple seat and two wheels for learning balance.
it come in at 4.2 kilograms, which is roughly 9 pounds or so, so a three-year-old can typically lift it themselves if they tip it over, and with the 1.2mm thick steel frame you get durability without making it a brick to drag around. The seat adjusts with a quick-release clamp, tool-free, so you can raise it as the kid grows up to that 30 kg max load limit. Those 12-inch air-filled tires handle pavement and compacted dirt pretty well but aren't meant for serious off-road stuff, we have the CE cert covering EN71 and EN14765, and the TCOA is avaliable on request for each lot (usually 2-4 weeks out if we're out of stock).
Actually, what a lot of parents miss is that this bike has a limited steering radius built in—it stops the handlebars form turning too far, which cuts down on those sudden face-plant spills when a kid yanks the bars too hard. It's better than the plastic models for durability and the air tires give a smoother ride than foam ones, but I'll be honest, it's not great for taller eight-year-olds; if the kid is already over 115 cm or so, they may look a bit cramped. So for a kid just starting balance training it's ideal, but if they're already coasting on a pedal bike they'll outgrow this fast.
The packaging runs about 69 by 19 by 29 cm and weighs 4.6 kg boxed, so shiping costs are manageable, and we usually have teh three colors (red, white, black) in stock—just confirm lead time if you need more than 50 units or so.
