One buyer we work with builds custom diagnostic consoles for hospital networks — they run a full salt spray test on every incoming batch because their install sites have condensation issues, and they leave this detail out of most RFQs, but it's the first thing they check in our COAs, and we've never had a reject from them in the two years we've shipped PTVN terminals.
Basically, what you're getting is a cold-pressed 0.8mm copper terminal with tin plating or blue PVC coating (the color depends on which option you pick), 27A max on 16-14 AWG wire, and HDR interface is what makes it fit certain telecom and automotive pin housings — it's a tighter tolerance than a lot of generic terminals we've tested, and the tensile test results we archive per batch usually show 5-10% above the minimum spec.
Also, while we list telecom and automotive as the main use cases, some buyers use these in appliance control boards or medical carts — but they're not really suited for high-vibration engine compartments unless you pair them with a locking connector housing, which we don't supply. So if you're doing engine harnesses, that's a limitation you'd want to check before ordering.
16-14 AWG is the sweet spot, and we run a retest policy if you find any batch below teh published specs — just send the COA form your incoming QC and we'll cover it, usually within 20 days or so. Stock on the tin-plated version is steady, but the blue PVC option can run 2-4 weeks if we're low.
