What it does is handle the voltge rating without arcing issues we saw with uninsulated terminals on higher-current runs, though it's not suited for heavy-duty motor starters where you'd want a thicker gauge. Also, one thing the spec sheet doesn't mention is that the copper feels slightly softer than pure electrolytic copper, but for signal-level loads it's fine.
Anyway, we usually have stock on these, but confirm lead time if the order jumps above 10,000 units since tooling molds have a limited cycle capacity — I'd say about 50,000 cycles or so before they need maintenance.
