It's not the prettiest breaker on the market and the IP20 rating means you definately want it inside a panel, not exposed, but for the price point it's actually pretty solid for standard commercial and light indutrial distribution boards.

We've been using the D-curve variants for motor circuits in our workshop and they hold up fine under inrush — the thermal-magnetic trip mechanism is nothing fancy but it's predictable, and that's what matters for overload and short circuit protection.

The 6kA breaking capacity on teh 1P and 2P units covers most of our 230V branch circuits, though if you're pushing 63A on a 3P setup at 400V you'll want to confirm the 4kA rating is enough for your fault current levels, usually it is for smaller panels.

Mechanical life is rated at 10,000 operations or so, which is better than reagent grade for this class, and the PA66 housing with V-0 flame retardancy is a nice safety buffer we didn't have to pay extra for.

We ordered a mix of 10A and 20A C-curve for lighting circuits and 32A D-curve for a couple of small compressors, all 1P, and the terminal capasity up to 25mm² made wiring straightforward on DIN rail.

Lead time was about two weeks from the suppiler, and they sent COAs with each batch confirming IEC60898 compliance — just keep in mind the operating temperature range of -5°C to +55°C if you're installing outdoors in a non-climate-controlled enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the differences between the C-curve and D-curve trip characteristics for the DZ47-63?

The C-curve trips at 5-10 times the rated current, ideal for lighting and general loads. The D-curve trips at 10-20 times the rated current, designed for motor and high-inrush loads.

Do you offer a 1A or 2A rating for the DZ47-63, or only from 6A up?

Our DZ47-63 starts at 6A and goes up to 63A. For lower ratings like 1A or 2A, we'd recommend checking our DZ47-60 series instead.

What is the minimum order quantity for the DZ47-63 MCB?

Typically, MOQ is 100 pieces per rating and pole combination, but we can accommodate smaller trial orders. Just let us know your specific needs.

Can you provide the IEC60898 test certificates or CB report with the shipment?

Yes, we include the CE and CB certificates with each batch. CCC and ISO9001 documents are also available on request.

What is the recommended storage temperature range for the DZ47-63 MCB before installation?

Store them in a dry place between -25°C and +70°C. Keep them in original packaging to avoid dust or moisture, as the IP20 protection is for installed use.
