It's not a light tool at about 8.5kg, so you're not going to want to swing this thing all day without a break—the included shoulder strap helps, but it's still a workout on uneven ground. That said, the 52cc two-stroke engine pushing 1.65kw is what you need for anything over 5000m², where smaller trimmers just bog down in thick stuff.
Basically, it's built for heavy brush and saplings, not for manicured lawns. The straight metal blade chews through weeds and woody growth pretty well, but you'll want to swap to a nylon head if you're doing fine trimming near flower beds. 8500rpm at max speed, with idle around 3000rpm—the air-cooled system keeps it from overheating during those long afternoon sessions.
Fuel mix is either 1:25 or 1:40 gasoline to oil, depending on what oil you're running (we usually stock the 1:40 pre-mix for convenience). The 1200ml tank gives you about 20-30 minutes of continuous before you need to refill, so plan your work accordingly. Transmission uses a 9-tooth shaft, which is pretty standerd for this class—replacement parts are easy to find.
You'll get a CE and EMC cert with it, but the warranty is 12 months form date of purchase—check lead time if you need it sooner than that, as we usually have stock but sometimes run 2-3 weeks behind. Package dimensoins are 28×23×25cm, so it ships in a compact box, though the weight means you'll pay a bit more on freight for internatioanl orders.
One thing nobody mentions: the pipe diameter is 26mm or 28mm depending on the batch (we've seen both), so if you're buying a replacement head or blade, measure yours first. Also, straight metal blade isn't great for rocky terrain—it'll chip if you hit stones, so consider a brush knife for that.
