We had a client running a 48V off-grid telecom site in northern Alberta, and what it does is, they needed something that wouldn't sag below 1.85V per cell under a 200A load for 5 hours straight, and the OPzV2-1000 held at 1.92V through the whole cycle—actually better than the spec sheet suggested, but you'll want to verify with your own discharge curves.
The fumed silica gel electrolyte immobilizes teh sulfuric acid into a thixotropic matrix, which basically eliminates stratification and cuts internal resistance to about 0.35 mOhm at full charge, and the tubular positive plates with lead-calcium grids give you a corrosion margin that's roughly 30% better than flat-plate designs under cyclic conditions—cycle life is >2000 cycles at 80% DoD, but we usually see around 1800 cycles before capacty drops below 80% in real-world solar cycling.
It works well for UPS loads where you need 10-minute runtime at 500A or so, but also for medical imaging backup where ripple current from the rectifier can push charge voltage up to 2.35V per cell, and that's fine because the gel absorbs overcharge better than AGM, but one limitation is you can't fast-charge it above 0.25C—anything faster and gas recombination can't keep up (we've had a few warranty claims from people trying to bulk charge at 0.5C). 4. Most buyers go with a MOQ of 8 units for palletized shippng, and we typically stock about 50 units or so, but confirm lead time before scheduling insallation.
Warranty depends on the application and operating conditions, but for solar storage we typically offer 3–5 years full replacement, with a prorated period after that. Contact us with your specific project details and we'll give you the exact terms.
The T5 terminal is fixed on this model, but we can provide adapter kits or custom terminal options for large orders. Minimum quantity for a terminal change is usually 50 pieces.
We can supply CE, IEC, and ISO 9001 certificates, plus the IEC 60896-11 test report for cycle life and capacity. Factory inspection reports are also available on request.
Standard lead time is 15–20 working days for a 20-foot container load (about 120 pieces). For smaller trial orders, we can ship within 7–10 days, but MOQ is 10 pieces.
Store them in a cool, dry place below 35°C, and charge them every 6 months to prevent deep discharge. The self-discharge rate is only 2% per month at 25°C, so they hold up well.
