Basically, you're holding a tool that moves hot air across PVC, PE, PP, or PVDF sheets to fuse them together—we see it mostly on tank linings and pipe repairs where a clean, continuous weld matters more than speed.
It runs on standard AC power, temperature is adjustable with semi-automatic control, and built-in fan keeps it form overheating during those longer jobs; the housing is a heat-resistant casing that doesn't get too uncomfortable to hold after 20 minutes or so.
Most buyers go with this for membrane repair on waterproofing projects, but it's not ideal for thin films or intricate detail work where you'd want a smaller hot air pistol instead.
What it does is give you a consistent weld on thicker sheets—roughly 3mm to 8mm or so—without the hassle of a full welding machine setup, and the electronic protection system kicks in if you push it too hard (which we've seen happen on rough days).
We usually have stock for the XC-17, but confirm lead time if you need more than 50 units; packging is a simple box with teh gun, a standard nozzle, and a COA in the box.
Also, the air-cooling setup means you can run it continuously for about 30 minutes before a natural break—actually a detail some buyers don't think to ask about until they're mid-weld on a big tank.
The XC-17 has an adjustable temperature range with precise control, typically from around 100°C to 600°C. Yes, you can set a specific temperature for PVDF, which usually needs a lower range around 250°C–300°C, so you're covered.
It meets industry standard compliance, so you'll get a CE or similar certificate upon request. That covers safety and performance for tank and pipe welding in industrial settings.

The heating element with electronic protection typically lasts 500–800 hours of use depending on workload. Yes, it's replaceable, so you don't need to buy a new gun when it wears out.
