It's a 300 series austenitic stainless steel, not the cheaper 420 stuff most budget needles use — that alone gives it better ductility and bending moment, so it doesn't snap mid-suture like some others we've tested. Lengths run from 13mm to 60mm, and they come in a taper point with an optional squared body if you need extra torque resisance, which is pretty much standard for general surgical work.

Basically, any facility doing soft tissue closures will find these useful — we've had OR managers order them for abdominal and ophthalmic procedures where you need that smooth entry without tearing. They're non-sterile out of the box, but our company can have them sterilized on request, though that adds about 5-7 days to lead time.

One thing that caught my eye is the 5-year quailty guarantee — most suppliers only offer 1-2 years on needles, so that suggests they're confident in polish and consistency of the 300 series suface finish. Also, they meet ISO 7864, which is the standard everyone expects for surgical needles anyway.

Packaing is 1000 pieces per box, which is typical for bulk orders, and teh MOQ is usually 5 boxes or so depending on stock. We ordered a single box first to run an HPLC check on the surface residue — some Chinese suppliers skip the final cleaning step, but the COA from this batch looked clean.

For supply, we're looking at roughly 15-20 working days from order, assuming they have the 13mm and 26mm sizes in stock — those are the two most common lengths for general surgery, so lead time should hold. If you need custom lengths or the squared body option, it's usually a separate run and takes closer to 30 days.
