We're ordering the serceps rigid in both 330mm and 450mm lengths for the OR, and the 20° angle is actually what sold us — it gives better grip on deeper tissue without extra wrist strain, and the autoclavable metal steel construction means they'll hold up through at least 200 cycles or so base on what we've seen form similar CE-certified Class II instruments.
They're coming in M, ML, L, and XL sizes, but honestly most of our surgeons will use the ML and L for general procedures, and the 4-year the typical wear-and-tear on teh serrated tips, which is better than reagent grade instruments we've tried before.
For UK compliance, we've got the CE and ISO13485 certs already on file, and the suplier confirmed they'll include the GB15979-2002 safety standard documentation and a COA with each carton box shipment — we usually have stock, but confirm lead time is about 20 days or so for the customizable color options if we need those.
What it does is it's a reusable stainless steel forceps with a serrated jaw that locks at 20°, so it's not suited for micro-surgery where you need a finer tip — but for general surgical retraction and clamping, it's better than most mid-range options we've tested.
Also, the OEM service is availble if we want to brand them later, but for now we're just ordering standdard carton box packing with 50 units per box, and the shelf life is 3 years which is fine for our inventory rotation.
