We're talking about professional-grade water pump pliers here, made from Cr-V steel or high carbon steel with drop forged construction—basically it's what gives them that real strength and durability you'd expect from a heavy-use tool, and our company offer them in 7", 10", 12", and 16" sizes depending on what you're working on.
The jaw treatment is polished and induction hardened, plus whole thing goes through overall, so the gripping suface holds up way better than cheaper alternatives, and the button adjustable mechanism on select models lets you open them up pretty much instantly without fiddling around.
Most guys in plumbing, mechanicla work, or construction grab these because the groove joint design handles pipes and fittings really well, but they're not ideal for super tight electrical work where you'd want insulated tools instead—just something to keep in mind.
You've got finish options like black, polished, nickel plated, or pearl-nickel plated, and handle choices include dipped, PVC, or textured grips, which is actually a bigger deal than most people think because of that it affects how comfortable they are after a full day of use.
Lead time is typically 30 days or so for standdard orders, but we usually have stock on the 10-inch polished ones with dipped handles, and for bulk orders our company can customize teh logo, finish, and packging (MOQ is usually around 500 pieces or so).
Anyway, the 12-inch size with nickel plating is what most buyers go with for general plumbing work—it's a solid sweet spot for reach and control without being too heavy.
MOQ depends on the customization level, but for a custom logo on existing finishes and handles, we typically ask for 1,000 pieces per size. If you need a completely new finish or packaging, that number might be higher — just let us know what you're looking for and we can work it out.
Standard production takes about 25–30 days for a batch that size, plus shipping time. If you're in a hurry, we can sometimes rush it to around 15–18 days, but that depends on current factory load — best to check with us first.
Yes, we can supply a mill certificate for the Cr-V steel and a hardness test report for the induction-quenched jaws. Just specify what you need when placing the order, and we'll include it with the shipment.
The button adjustable mechanism is currently offered on select sizes — mainly the 10" and 12" models. The 7" and 16" versions use a standard groove joint adjustment. If you need a specific size with the button, we can check if a custom run is feasible.
Keep them in a dry environment, ideally in the original packaging or a tool chest with low humidity. For the polished finish, a light coat of oil before long-term storage helps. The nickel-plated and pearl-nickel options are more corrosion-resistant, but still avoid leaving them wet.
