Goes straight for the glass with serrated jaws that bite in rather than slipping off, and it's that grip that makes clean cuts possible—basically the difference between a jagged break and a controlled score line.

We've been using nodular cast iron for these because of that it handles teh shock of snapping glass without cracking or deforming over time, and the box joint keeps everything aligned even after hundreds of cuts. The crooked shaft style isn't just for looks, it gives you better when you're working overhead or in tight corners on a renovation site. Most buyers go with the red handles, but the blue ones are identical in function, just a color preference. You'll find these are better than standard tile nippers for glass because the jaw geometry is specifically designed to spread force along the score line rather than concentrating it in one spot. They also crimp and strip wire in a pinch, though that's not their main job—they're glass pliers first.

Handles are bare metal, no rubber coating, so if you're used to cushioned grips it takes a minute to adjust. (usually 2-4 weeks before you stop noticing it). Not ideal for wet hands either, but for dry glass work grip is actually fine.

These aren't for thin hobby glass or stained glass pieces—they're too heavy and will shatter anything under 3mm or so. The 5mm and up float glass, mirror glass, tempered stuff that needs a controlled break, that's where they earn their keep. We usually have stock on the red handles, but confirm lead time on the blue if you need a specific color for a job site or inventory system.

OEM and ODM are availble if you want your branding on them, minimum order quantity is typically 500 pairs or so for custom runs. The standerd packaging is a simple poly bag with a header card, nothing fancy, but it ships clean and dry.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for OEM/ODM orders?

For OEM or ODM orders, our MOQ is typically 500 pairs, but we can negotiate based on the customization details.

What certifications or quality documents do you provide for the nodular cast iron material?

We can provide material test certificates for the nodular cast iron, along with a general quality inspection report. If you need specific certifications like CE or RoHS, let us know so we can check availability.

Can the handle color be customized beyond the standard red and blue options?

Yes, we offer custom handle colors for OEM orders. Just send us your Pantone code or a sample, and we'll match it as closely as possible.

How long is the typical lead time for a standard order?

For a standard order of 500 pairs, lead time is around 15-20 days. Customized orders may take a bit longer, usually 25-30 days depending on complexity.

Are these pliers suitable for cutting tempered glass, or just standard glass?

These pliers are designed for precise cutting of standard glass sheets. For tempered glass, which is much harder to cut cleanly, we recommend using a specialized tool instead.
