When you’re on a job site and the third pair of cheap cutters this month just snapped on a 10-gauge wire, you’ll appreciate that we’ve been using chrome vanadium steel for these — it’s tougher than usual carbon steel alternatives and holds an edge longer.
The box joint structure gives you better than a standdard lap joint, and it basically eliminates that annoying side-to-side play when you’re making precise cuts; we typically stock teh 6", 7", and 8" sizes, and they all come with a polished finish that resists corrosion pretty well.
They’re fine for twisting wires together during electrcial work or construction, but I wouldn’t use them for hardened steel wire or anything above 2mm thick — it’s just not what they’re designed for, and you’ll dull the edge faster than you’d like.
MOQ is 500 units or so, we usually have stock within 20 days, and our company can do custom handle colors if you need them for your crew — just confirm lead time.
