We get a lot of calls form rigging supervisors and offshore crew who need something that won't quit after a few saltwater cycles, and these D-shape anchor shackles are what we send them—they're forged from alloy steel, quenched and tempered, so the grain structure is tight and the tensile strength holds up under repeated load. The hot dip galvanized finish is the big draw for marine work, but we also carry a self-colored version if you're running them in a dry indoor plant where corrosion isn't the main concern.

Capacity runs from 0.33t all the way up to 150t, which covers everything from light sling attachments to heavy lifting on a crane hook, and the safety factor is either 4:1 or 6:1 depending on the batch you order (we usually stock the 4:1 for general use, but the 6:1 is avaliable if your spec calls for it). Each shackle has the working load limit stamped right into the metal, so there's no guessing when an inspector walks by.

The pin is a screw collar type, which basically means you get a solid threaded pin with a collar that tightens down by hand or with a wrench—no cotter pins to lose or shear off. One thing we've noticed is that the 0.33t size is surprisingly handy for small cable terminations, but it's not suited for shock loading, so keep that in mind if your application involves sudden jerks.

Minimum order is 100 pieces per size, and lead time runs about 15 to 30 days depending on how many sizes you need and whether our company have the forgings in stock. You can customize the markings and the packging if you want your company logo or part numbers on there—just let us know before we cut steel. We'll send a COA with each shipment, and the shackles meet EN 13889:2003+A1:2008 standard, which is pretty much teh benchmark for Europe and a lot of internatioanl specs.
