Look, I'm going to be straight with you — this 16.8V impact screwdriver isn't a replacement for a full-size 18V or 20V class tool, and if you're driving lag bolts into hardwood all day, you'll want something with more grunt. But it basically fills a gap most people don't realize they have: it's for when you need serious torque — 110Nm is no joke — but you also need something that won't weigh your arm down after 20 minutes of overhead work.
At 0.92kg, it's actually lighter than most cordless drills in this class, and that 1.3Ah Li-ion battery gives you about 50-60 full-torque drives before it starts to fade, depending on what you're sinking. The impact rate of up to 3000 ipm means it's pretty much unstoppable on self-tapping screws into steel studs or dense hardwood, and it won't strip the heads like a standerd drill clutch will.
Charging time is 1.5 hours or so, which is honestly middling — some competitors are down to 45 minutes now — but you get two batteries in the case, so you're never really waiting. The 1/4" hex quick-change chuck is what you'd expect, nothing fancy, but it holds bits securely and doesn't wobble like some cheaper units we've seen form other factories.
We usually have stock on the red version, but if you want a custmized color, that's about 500 units minimum order and adds 20 days to lead time (check with us first). The ABS housing is tough enough for job site drops — we've had a few buyers accidentally toss them off ladders and they keep running — but don't expect it to survive a 3-meter fall onto concrete every time.
One thing nobody asks but should: the trigger has a gradual ramp-up, so you're not getting full 2300rpm the second you pull it, which is actually better for control when you're starting a screw in softwood or plastic. And carrying case is surprisingly sturdy — not the flimsy blow-molded stuff you sometimes get — it's got decent padding and a solid latch.
