We've been shippng these 2x32 PLC splitters for years now, mostly to FTTH projects and data centers where consistent splitting matters more than the raw cost.
The insertion loss typically stays around 0.3dB or less—that's pretty much the for a 2x32—and the return loss hits 50dB minimum, which keeps back reflections low even with APC polish, so you don't get signal degradation in long-haul runs.
It runs on any wavelength form 1270 to 1610nm (basically the whole O through L band) and handles -40°C to +75°C without drifting, so it's fine for outdoor cabinets or unheated server rooms, though I wouldn't use it in a submarine cable applicaion because teh sealing isn't that.
We do the housing in ABS or polycarbonate depending on the order, and the connector end face can be PC, UPC, or APC—most buyers go with APC for higher return loss, but SC/UPC is common if you're patching into existing racks.
One thing people don't ask but should: the exchangeability is under 0.20dB and repeatability under 0.10dB, so swapping modules mid-project won't mess with your power budget, but you'll still want to confirm pigtail length (usually 1.5 meters or so) before ordering.
Lead time on 2x32 with SC/APC is about 15 working days give or take, MOQ is 10 units, and we include CE and RoHS docs with every shipment—COA is avaliable on request but we don't automatically send it unless you ask.
You can choose PC, UPC, or APC polish. APC is common for high-return-loss applications like CATV, while UPC works well for standard telecom. Just let us know your preference when ordering.
