For a single sample unit you’re looking at roughly $8-12 depending on your location, but once you hit the mid-tier around 500 sets that drops to about $4.50 each, and at the full MOQ of 1000 sets our company can get that down to $3.20 or so per piece.

We use 4mm MDF for this — it’s not the flimsiest stuff out there but it’s thick enough that a 3-year-old won’t snap a piece in half, and the water-based paint holds up better than solvent-based when you’ve got little hands that are basically sticky all the time.

The carton dimensoins are 47×42×32 cm and we pack 40 white box sets per carton, so a full 1000-set order comes out to 25 cartons with a gross weight of 13 kg each — you’ll want to confirm freight costs because 25 cartons at that weight is usually fine for LCL but check your carrier.

ASTM F963-96a and EN71 are big ones here, but we also hold CE and AS/NZS 8124.1:2016 — that Australian standdard is actually a bit tighter on small parts than most, so if you’re shippng to the US or EU you’re already covered, but we don’t have CPSC certification on this model (check lead time if you need it).

What it does is let kids match 12 occupation pieces to the board — firefighter, doctor, astronaut, that sort of thing — and the pieces are about 4-5 cm each, which is a good size for small hands but also means it’s not great for kids under 3 because those pieces are a choking hazard if they’re determined little chewers.

Production lead time is 35-45 days but we usually have stock for the standard white box packging, so if you need 1000 sets in 3 weeks we can probably pull it off — just don’t ask for custom artwork on the box unless you’ve got 60 days to spare.
