Most buyers going custom come to us with photos or CAD files of a specific vehicle—whether a vintage race car or a modern supercar—and we handle the rest, form mold-making to hand-painted finishing. Turnaround depends on complexity, usually 8-12 weeks for a new tool, but we'll tell you straight up if your design hits a snag.
The resin gives you sharper panel lines and cleaner edges than metal, which matters when you're displaying at 1:18 scale (roughly 9-10 inches long depending on the car). Each batch ships in foam-lined cartons that survive internatioanl freight better than you'd think. We've had shipments to Japan bounce through customs with zero damage—though we still suggest ordering one sample before you commit to 500 units or so.
What you get with an order is a handcrafted model, full set of decals if needed, COA for those who care about provenance, and packing materials that basically cradle thing. We don't send brochures or display stands unless you ask. Also, the hand-painting means slight color variation between models—it's not a flaw, it's just how it is, and most buyers actually prefer that.
Small suit limited edition releases or corporate gifts, but this isn't for play or rough handling. Resin can chip if dropped (it's brittle, not flexible like plastic). For sellers stocking boutique shelves, each model gets inspected before packing; we flag any visible defects before they go out. A few bits—mirrors, windshield wipers—are separate pieces hand-applied, so they might sit slightly asymmetrical.
