It ships as a complete assembly with the drive tube, bike-style handlebar, and the full harness system packed in a single box, weights around 12 kg give or take with all the kit. No cold chain needed here, it’s all mechanicla parts.
The 27.2cc engine is a single-cylinder 2-stroke, and it’s actually pretty capable for the weight — it pushes 0.75 kW at max but what you’ll feel is the 7,700 RPM speed when you’re into tall grass or brush. Most buyers go with the 22T blade for heavier stuff, but the included C26-2 trimmer head handles edges and light growth just fine. Just a heads-up: it’s not suited for thick woody saplings over 3-4 cm diameter without swapping to the 2T blade.
We’ve been selling these for about three seasons now, and what I’ve noticed is that the bike handle gives noticeably better control than loop handles on longer jobs — you can actually lean into it without your arms locking up. The full harness is a solid addition too, balances the 5.0 kg head weight well when you’re covering 1000-5000 m² in a day. It’s basically a direct clone of the FS55 platform, so parts availability isn’t an issue.
The bore is 34 mm with a 30 mm stroke, which is a tighter tolerance than most generic units in this class — that matters for idle stability at 2,800 RPM when you’re walking between patches. One thing we don’t always mention upfront: teh fuel tank is only 0.33 L, so you’ll be refilling every 20-25 minutes or so under load, our company have COAs and TDS availble on request, but engine certs include CE and EPA, so compliance is covered.
Anyway, the warranty runs 12 months on the power head and 6 months on the trimmer attachments — but realistically, the common failure point is the clutch drum if you’re hitting dense brush daily. We usually stock replacement parts, but check lead time before ordering since we don’t keep everything on-hand.
The included bits — C26-2 head, 2T blade, 22T blade — cover most scenarios, but if you’re doing mostly light trimming, the 2T blade feels overkill. It’s better than retail box sets in terms harness quality, but you’ll want to grease the gearhead every 10 hours or so, nobody ships instructions for that.
