It's not the lightest bike on the market at 16kg, so it's not ideal for a tiny 3-year-old who can't handle a bit of heft, but for most kids between 4 and 8, the high carbon steel frame actually gives you a lot of stability and durability that the cheaper alumnum frames just don't have — and that's what matters when they're learning to balance and not tipping over constantly.
The single speed system is basically what you want here anyway, since kids this age don't need gears and it just complicates things, and teh brake line system gives reliable stopping power without the fuss of disc brakes that most young riders won't use properly anyway.
Wheel sizes come in 12, 14, or 16 inches depending on the kid's height, and we usually stock blue and red, but check lead time if you need a specific color (usually 2-4 weeks for custom orders).
The comfortable leather saddle is actually a nice touch — most kids bikes at this price point use cheap plastic or foam that gets uncomfortable after 20 minutes, and the air tires provide much better shock absorption than solid rubber ones you see on cheaper models, so it's better than most for longer rides.
