We've been shippng these sets for years now, and the 3-piece combo—8" lineman's, 6" diagonal, 6" long nose—covers most field work without overloading teh tool pouch, it's basically standard for electrcial and industrial guys who need grip and cut in tight spots.
The nickel chromium steel gives you a nice balance of toughness and corrosion resisance, so they won't pit or rust after a few weeks in a damp panel, but don't expect them to outperform a dedicated stainless alloy in salt spray—that's not their game, they're better than standard chrome vanadium for impact though.
edge is induction hardened, which means the edge stays sharp through maybe 500 cuts on 10 AWG copper before you notice any dulling, and the machined jaws, well, they grab conduit locknuts and wire nuts without slipping, we've tested them on 1/2" EMT and they hold torque fine.
ANSI compliant obviously, but what most buyers don't ask about is the chrome plating thickness—it's about 5 microns or so, which is pretty standard for industiral use, and the ProTouch grips actually reduce hand fatigue after 4 hours of pulling cables (we ran a small trial on that).
MOQ is 500 sets, lead time is roughly 20 days for stock colors, but if you want custom handles or OEM branding, add another 2 weeks (usually), and we can do 6" or 7" combos instead of the standard 8", but that changes the ratio a bit, so most go with the 8".
1 year defects in the steel or heat treat, but not abuse like prying with the diagonal cutters—that's just physics, and we usually have stock, but confirm lead time before you lock in a production schedule.
