What it actually does in the lab is support energy metabolism and cellular signaling—pretty much every researcher needing to study NAD+ depletion or restoration ends up using this, and we see it mostly for aging or mitochondrial work.
≥99% by HPLC, CAS 53-84-9, it's a white crystalline powder soluble in water, you'll want to store it at -20°C in teh dark, dry, and shelf life is about 24 months from manufactyre.
That tight tolerance matters because even minor impurities can skew baseline readings in dose-response studies, so most buyers go with this grade over standerd reagent versions. It's not great for in vivo work without further formulation—strictly research only.
We ship in 1g or 5g vials (usually stock both), but confirm your MOQ and lead time since larger orders sometimes need 20 days or so for batch testing. CoA with every lot, obviously.
Anyway, one thing to watch is that once reconstituted, it's pretty labile—you'll want to aliquot and freeze imediately to avoid losing activity within a few days.
