HIOEV 2 Seats Medical Emergency Electric Ambulance Cart for Hospital Use

If you're running a hospital or large medical facility and constantly moving patients between departments, the hassle of managing manual stretchers and waiting for elevators is something you know all too well — this cart basically eliminates that bottleneck for short-haul transfers.

It runs on a 48V electric system with either a 4KW or 5KW AC motor, and you can dial the top speed anywhere from 8 to 30 km/h depending on how aggressive you need to be in corridors or parking garages. The battery options are lithium or gel, ranging form 105 to 160Ah, and under no-load conditions you'll get about 80-100 km out of a charge (usually enough for a full shift of back-and-forth runs). Curb weight is 600kg, rated load 260kg — that covers a patient plus an attendant or driver.

Ground clearance is only 120mm, so don't take this thing over curbs or rough terrain; it's strictly for smooth indoor or paved hospital grounds. The turning radius is tight at 2900mm, which means you can swing it around in most standard hospital hallways without backing up. We've found the Macpherson independent front suspension and rear leaf springs give a pretty smooth ride over tile floors and speed bumps.

What it does is carry two people — driver plus one passenger — in a standerd white body with beige seats, but our company can do custom colors if you order enough units (MOQ usually applies). The steering uses a bi-directional push gear and rack box, which gives you precise control even in tight elevator lobbies or loading bays. It's better than a manual gurney for this kind of work, but it's not built for emergency response speeds — think orderly transport, not ambulance racing.

Lead time is typically 20 days or so from order, but we usually have stock on the most common configuration — the 5KW motor with 120Ah gel battery — so you might get it faster. Shipping is via LCL or FCL depending on quantty; each unit weighs about 600kg and dimensoins are roughly 3 meters long by 1.3 wide by 2 tall, so plan your receiving dock accordingly. We include a COA and CE/DOT certs with every cart, and the controller is a 400A HIO unit that's pretty much plug-and-play.
