Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Ground Wire (OPGW) is primarily used in communication lines for newly constructed high-voltage power transmission systems rated at 35KV or above. It can also replace existing ground wires in overhead high-voltage systems to add communication capabilities while conducting short-circuit currents and providing anti-lightning protection.
The cable design incorporates a small diameter, which minimizes additional load on poles and towers. The stainless steel tube structure is optimized with correct excess fiber lengths, ensuring robust protection and high tensile strength. The optical unit, situated as an interlayer, resists twisting and offers superior lateral pressure performance. With enhanced safety and shooting resistance, the cable is less susceptible to theft.
