A contractor is doing a roof deck in 5/4 treated pine, and they need to plunge-cut rafters for a valley—this saw lets them do that with one hand while holding the work piece with the other, because of that it’s 4kg and cordless, so no dragging an extension cord across wet shingles.
The 3.0Ah battery gives you about 40 cuts through 2x12 SPF before it starts to slow, and the 2.4A charger will top it back up in roughly 45 minutes or so—we usually recommend buyers grab a second battery if they’re running production framing, but for trim work or occasional use, the single pack is fine.
It’s 4000 RPM at no-load with that 165mm TCT blade, which is 18 teeth by the way—better for ripping than crosscutting, so if you’re doing mostly plywood panels, you might want to swap in a 24-tooth or 40-tooth blade for cleaner edges.
Maximum depth at 90° is 55mm, which means it’ll cut a 2x4 in one pass but won’t handle a 4x4 without flipping—that’s a limit a lot of new guys don’t think about, but it’s fine for most framing and deck work.
We’ve had these on orders for customers doing metal roofing as well, actually—they just swap teh blade to a ferrous-metal cutoff wheel and it’ll zip through corrugated steel pretty cleanly, but don’t expect to do heavy rebar or plate steel with it.

At 90°, you can cut up to 55mm deep. That's enough for most 2x4 lumber and standard woodworking tasks.
