It needs to handle up to 160A continuous and we’ve tested these reliably right to 800V, which covers most industrial motor control and power distribution cabinets we see. The PA66 housing carries a V-0 rating so it self-extinguishes in under 10 seconds if something goes wrong, and we usually advise pairing it with a 4.5 N·m torque screwdriver setting to avoid stripping the tin-plated aluminum conductor.
Most buyers don’t initially ask about the DIN rail compatiblity, but it fits both NS32 G-type and NS35 U-type rails without any adapter — that’s actually one of the simpler details we get wrong on a spec sheet sometimes. The 2.5mm² to 50mm² wire range means you can land a 4mm² control wire and a 50mm² main feed in the same block, which pretty much eliminates a second terminal for mixed-gauge junctions.

You’ll notice we torque the block to 4.5 N·m straight from production, and what that does is give consistent clamping force without spreading the alumnum alloy conductor — something cheaper brass blocks at 2.0 N·m simply cannot guarantee. UL and TUV documentation is avaliable per lot (we retain samples for 3 years or so), and the COA for each batch will show the actual flame propagation results form UL94 testing.

We get the tape can sometimes oxidize on aluminum if stored in high-humidity — the tin-plated layer here is about 5 microns nominal, which basically eliminates galvanic corrosion between the conductor and a copper cable you land on it. 49mm length by 17.7mm width lets you squeeze roughly 12 of these per meter of NS35 rail, and that’s tighter than most screw-type blocks at this rating.

Keep in mind this isn’t suitable to fine-stranded wire smaller than 2.5mm² without a ferrule — the screw pilot hole geometry just doesn’t cage those strands reliably below that size. Grey is most common color we ship (stock usually runs about 2000 units), though yellow-green and blue need a lead time of roughly 2 weeks for an order of 500+.
Actually, the closed screw pilot holes are molded into the PA66, not machined afterward, so there’s no burr risk that could nick insulation as you push the wire in. IEC 60947-7-1 compliance means the creepage distance from live parts to DIN rail is maintained at 8mm minimum, and for 800V systems that’s the difference between a pass and a field failure.
We only offer grey, blue, and yellow-green for the JUT10-50 — those are the standard colors we stock. Custom colors aren't available on this model due to the PA66 molding process.
Our MOQ is 100 pieces for the JUT10-50, but we do keep some stock for sample orders. If you need a smaller batch for testing, just let us know and we can usually accommodate.
Yes, we can include a material test report or a copy of the UL certification document with your order. Just request it when you place the order and we'll add it to the package.
It can take a single 50mm² solid copper wire directly, no ferrule needed. But for stranded wire that size, we recommend using a ferrule to avoid fraying — it'll make a cleaner connection.
The JUT10-50 comes with the mounting clip pre-installed — it fits both NS32 G-type and NS35 U-type rails. No extra parts needed to mount it.
