It's got one SIM slot and two RJ-11 outputs, which is handy if you want to hook up a phone and an alarm panel or something like that, and the LCD display shows caller ID and signal strength on the front panel so you're not guessing if it's working.
The recieve sensitivity is down around -104dBm, which in most cases is fine for rural areas where the signal's weak, but it's not really suited for extreme fringe coverage where high-gain outdoor antenna would be mandatory, and that's just a fact of GSM terminal design—you'll want to check your signal first.
Talk time with the optional 7.2V 1000mAh Li-ion backup battery runs about 2.5 hours or so, standby's roughly 24 hours, so if the power goes out it'll keep a single line alive through the night, and that's something buyers don't always think to ask about until they need it.
