We're shipping these with the metal blade as standard, and the 1E40F-6 engine pushes 1.45kw at 7500rpm — that's enough for 500 to 1000m² of mixed grass and light brush. 25:1 mix on fuel, 850ml tank, so you'll burn through about a tank per 45 minutes of heavy. 40.2cc displacement is pretty much what you'd expect for this class.
The float-type carburetor means it idles between 2800-3200rpm, and it's a simple system to tune if you're at altitude — that's usually where we get questions. Forced air cooling keeps it running, but don't expect it to handle saplings over 15mm or so. The anti-slip grip is decent, and the height adjustment is a two-pin lock mechanism, not a tool-free slider.
You'll get two boxes: engine head at 32x25x37cm (about 8.5kg net) and the rod assembly at 165x11x13cm (2.5kg net). Total gross weight is 11kg on the pallet. We include a COA with each unit, but HPLC is on request — the standard COA covers compression and fuel system checks.
Lead time is usually 20 days or so form order, but we keep 50 units in stock for quick dispatch. The metal blade is circular, about 255mm diameter, and it's better than the plastic line heads for this torque curve. Just don't use it on wet grass — the blade loads up and you'll stall it out.
One thing buyers don't always ask: teh alumnum tube is a 28mm outer diameter, which is thicker than most 25mm units, so it holds up to bending stress better. Also, the handle clamp uses a 10mm bolt, not those cheap phillips-head screws. Anyway, MOQ is 10 units for custom packging, or our company can do single units in standdard cartons.
You'll need a 25:1 gasoline-to-oil ratio. Use a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil, preferably TC or JASO FD grade, to keep the engine running smoothly and reduce carbon buildup.
