We've been getting a lot of requests lately for something that can fit into tight spaces but still deliver real torque—this 711:1 planetary gearbox motor basically fills that gap for a lot of folks working on small consumer electronics or toys.
It runs on 3V with no-load speed at 26rpm and rated torque around 296.9g.cm, which is pretty decent for something with a 6mm gearbox diameter and overall length of 30.9mm, and the gearbox itself can handle instant torque up to 800g.cm without stripping.
The no-load current sits at 40mA and rated current at 100mA, so battery life in portable devices is actually manageable, though you'll want to check your own power budget. Most buyers go with the 3V version because of that it's the sweet spot for low-speed control appliction.
It's a brush-type permanent magnet motor with drip-proof casing—not suited for wet environments or high-speed continuous duty, but for intermittent control in toys or automotive actuators it's fine. One thing we've noticed is that the 16.9mm gearbox length makes it a tight fit in some enclosures, so measure twice before ordering.
our company can do OEM customiaztion on shaft length and lead wires if your MOQ is 500 units or so, but standard packging is bulk in anti-static bags. Lead time is usually 20 days or so for stock orders, but confirm lead time if you need something outside usual spec.
Also, the 711:1 ratio means output speed is low but torque multiplication is high—better than most off-the-shelf motors for precision positioning. Bulk pricing drops around 1,000 pieces, and our company provide COA with each batch.
