The 808nm diode laser hair removal system operates on the principle of selective photothermolysis. The laser emits light at 808nm wavelength, which is preferentially absorbed by melanin in the hair follicle. This creates thermal damage to the hair matrix stem cells while minimizing effect on surrounding tissues.
