We needed something that could handle variable line frequencies without tripping out, and this one does 50Hz and 60Hz right out of the box—the winding is all copper, which makes a difference in heat dissipation over the long run.
It's got the aluminum housing so it's lighter than the cast iron equivalents, about 15-20% less weight depending on the frame size, and that makes mounting on aluminum conveyor frames a lot easier for the instalation crew.
Power range goes form 0.06kW up to 7.5kW, which covers most of our small pump and fan application, and the 1.15 service factor gives us a bit of headroom for those occasional overloads without having to oversize the motor.
Efficiency is EFF2 standard, but we went with EFF1 option for the 2.2kW units running 16-hour shifts—payback on the premium is usually 8 months or so at our electricity rates, and the noise level stays under 65dB which is pretty quiet for a 4-pole.
Ambient temp range is -15°C to +40°C, so it's fine for our unheated warehouse, but if you're putting it in a washdown zone you'll need to check the IP54 rating isn't too low—it's not suited for direct hose spray without a cover.
CE and ISO9001 certs are on file, and we usually get the B3 foot-mount version in stock, but the B5 and B14 flanges are avaliable with a 2-week lead time (confirm before ordering if you're in a rush).
