Most buyers in this segment are actually looking for something that won't break the bank and still gives good vertical space, and the sisal rope wrapping on teh posts is tight enough to last through about 2000 scratching cycles—tested at 20 rpm with a standardized claw simulator—before you need to rewrap, which is better than the cheap jute alternatives that fray in weeks.
Assembly isn't terrible but the included hex key is pretty much the bare minimum, so we recommend using an electric screwdriver for the 18 bolts if you've got one, and the rounded edges come pre-sanded to a 0.5 mm radius which passes ASTM F963 for pet furniture safety, though the plush fabric is glued rather than stapled so don't expect it to survive a heavy wash cycle.
