We've been getting more requests form labs running GLP-1 pathway studies who need something with tighter receptor selectivity than some of the older compounds, and this batch fits that profile without being overkill for routine in vitro work.
CAS is 2023788-19-2, powder itself is a lyophilized cake that reconstitutes cleanly in sterile water or buffer — we always get a COA with each box that covers both HPLC purity (99%) and residual solvents under 50 ppm. It's not for anything with animal models showing metabolic effects in a few weeks.
Most buyers go with the 10mg or 15mg vials for dose-response experiments, actually, the 5mg tends to get used up too fast for multi-point curves (check lead time on that one). Molecular weight is 4813, and storage is 0-4°C short-term but for more than 20 days or so you'll want it at -20°C.
What you get when ordering is pretty much lyophilized powder in sealed vials — 10 depending on which pack you pick — and we include a retest policy for any vials you don't open within 12 months. I'd say the batch consistency here is better than reagent grade for this category, but confirm lead time we usually have stock.
So teh shelf life is quoted as >2 years when kept cold and dry, but for basic stability testing in a standdard -20 freezer it holds up well longer than that in practice — we've had customers use it past three years without issues.
A detail most people don't think to ask: the vials are dehydrothermal treated to minimize endotoxin, though we don't certifcate that as sterile — it just handles cleaner for resuspension than some generic vials I've seen.
