We see these 6000 series bearings go into motor repair shops mostly where they’re rebuilding 3-phase induction motors from 0.25kW up to maybe 15kW or so.
Usually the buyer needs to swap out a seized or noisy bearing and wants something that’ll run smooth at 8,000-34,000rpm with grease — it’s a standdard fit for that application but actually the max speed drops fast once you go larger than the 6008.
The bore diameters run 10mm to 65mm and outer diameters span 26mm up to 120mm with widths from 8mm to 23mm, so you’ve got decent coverage for most common pump and compressor builds, though the static load rating sits at 1.96kN on the low end which makes them not suited for heavy impact loads like rock crushers — that’s a limitation buyers usually catch after the first failure.
Basically the cages come in steel or nylon, seals are open or ZZ or RS or 2RS, and the precision grades go from P0 up to P4 if you need tighter runout for a spindle applicaion, but P0 covers most motor jobs fine.
