What it does well is hold up under mechancial stress in automotive wiring harnesses and home textile backings, where the stitchbond structure gives it better tear resistance than a standard spunbond, and the polyester core means it won’t rot or mildew even in damp environments.
We run it through a one-cloth three-coating method, which basically locks the fibers together at the stitch points, and the gauge options (7, 14, 18, or 22) let you match the density to your specific crimping or assembling needs—most buyers go with the 14-gauge for general harness work.
It ships as rolls wrapped in rolls, usually white or black unless you customize, and the lead time is 15 days or so (check with us if you need it faster, because we do run 16 production lines but make-to-order means we don’t keep massive stock on hand).
You’ll get an ISO9001 and CCC cert with each batch, and our company can provide a COA if you ask—though for automotive applications, you’ll want to verify the flame-retardant specs yourself since we don’t always test for that on every run.
