The knob-type chain adjustment is pretty basic but it’s easier than messing with a tool, and the chain brake plus protective guard cover the safety side without adding much bulk.
We ran the first batch through our standard testing—HPLC on the battery output stability, and three separate run-to-empty cycles to check for voltage sag under load. The brushless motor holds torque better than teh brushed equivalents in this price range, and we’ve got COAs for the cell capasity and cutoff voltages if you need them. Typical lead time is 20 days or so from order, but we usually have stock for the 8-inch option—that’s one most buyers go with for pruning.
Actually, there’s one thing people don’t always ask about—the line charging is fine for most use, but if you’re running multiple units daily you’ll want to confirm the charger can handle back-to-back cycles without overheating. We had one customer push them 6 hours straight, and the charger shut down for 15 minutes—it’s a thermal limit built in, not a failure. Not a dealbreaker for gardening or DIY, but it’s worth knowing for landscaping crews.
Batch consistency has been good across our last three orders—chain tension stays within spec out of the box, and the blade alignment on the 6-inch is tighter than the 8-inch (usually within 0.5mm versus 1mm, give or take). For metal, it’s fine on thin stock like aluminum angle or sheet, but don’t expect it to chew through rebar or thick steel—the motor just doesn’t have the grunt for that.

The standard battery capacity is 4.0Ah, which gives you about 40–50 minutes of continuous cutting on a full charge. If you need longer runtime, we also offer a 6.0Ah upgrade.
Yes, the 8-inch blade works fine for metal cutting—just swap to a metal-cutting chain (sold separately). The brushless motor has enough torque for thin metal sheets, pipes, and rebar up to 3/8-inch thick.

It uses a knob-type chain adjustment—no tool required. Just turn the knob on the side to tighten or loosen the chain. Make sure it’s snug but not too tight, so the chain can rotate freely by hand.
