We're placing the order for the folding bath stools, the 400mm width version, primarily because they slot into the standerd bathroom layouts we see across most US nursing homes without the usual clearance headaches.

The urea formaldehyde resin is actually one of the main draws here — it's got a better moisture resistance than polypropylene for this application and the weight sits at 3.8kg which is light enough for staff to move but it still handles a 200kg max load which we've tested on a sample. You'll have the CE and FDA docs for customs, and ISO 13485 is in the folder too, but confirm the certifcate issue date if you're shippng to the UK since they've been stricter lately on that.

Seat depth is 330mm so it works for bariatric patients up to a point but it's not really suited for very large frames where you'd need the 450mm variant — the 200kg load limit is fine but the seat surface area itself is a limiting factor for some body types. Folded thickness is 62mm so storage racks can hold these at about 48 units per pallet base on the package dimensions of 530×255×465mm for the 3-pack cartons.

Basically the same unit we've used at two other facilities in the EU already so compliance is straightforward — just make sure the import broker has HS code 8713900000 handy because that one sometimes gets flagged if the declaration doesn't match the commercial invoice weight exactly. We usually have stock for this variant (check lead time though if you need a custom color or logo since that tacks on about 20 days or so).

Non-slip feet are decent but they're not replaceable which is a bit of a pain — after about 18 months of daily heavy use in wet environments the rubber starts to harden so that's something the maintenance team will need to monitor. Also the urea formaldehyde resin gives off a mild odor for the first few days after unpacking so you'll want to air out the storage room before distributing to patient rooms.
Our standard MOQ is 500 units per order, but we can discuss smaller trial orders if you're just getting started. Just reach out and we'll work something out.
Yes, we have all three certifications on file and can share copies upon request. Just let us know during the ordering process.
The 200kg load rating is tested on the complete assembled stool, including the 400mm seat surface. The 260mm frame width supports that weight without any issue.
For a standard 500-unit order, lead time is roughly 25-30 days after confirmation. Custom colors or logos may add 5-7 days extra.
They ship folded, not fully assembled, in cartons of 3 units each. Each carton is 530×255×465mm, so they stack easily for storage.
