One thing buyers don't always think to ask: the negative graduations at the top give you extra working volume beyond teh nominal capasity, which helps when you're chasing an exact dispense and don't want to blow out the last drop. For non-sterile application like simple buffer mixing, you're better off with non-sterile pipettes anyway — these are overkill for that.
