Just had a client who needed 200 gift sets for a corporate retreat in three weeks, and bamboo board with stainlss knives worked better than teh walnut options because the lead time on bamboo is shorter — usually 15-20 days for production (give or take a few days depending on order size).
It's a 45x45x65cm board with four knives, all packed in a color gift box, and the bamboo is water resistant so you don't get that warping you see with cheaper acacia. Certifications include FDA, LFGB, and CE, though honestly most buyers don't ask about all of them — they just want to know it's food grade and dishwasher safe (it's not, actually, hand wash only).
The set works well for charcuterie and cheese, but it's not great for heavy carving or hot items — the bamboo surfce isn't heat resistant like a poly board. What it does is give you a decent presentation piece that's eco-friendly and customizable with logo printing, and the knives have a solid feel compared to those flimsy sets that slide around. Most people go with the 100-set MOQ, but we've done smaller runs for boutique shops.
