We're looking at the AL4-20 and AL6-30 models for a client who needs to cover about 50 hectares of rice paddies per day, and the 30L tank with an 8-10 meter spray range is what they've been asking for. They want autonomous flight paths set up before delivery so their operators don't have to learn new software on-site. We've shipped similar units to Southeast Asia without any customs issues since 2019, and the CE/FCC/RoHS paperwork is all in order.
FOC power system handles the 30L load pretty well at 0-10 m/s spray speed, though I've been told the 20L version is easier to maneuver in smaller fields. It's basically a screw sprayer with an external thread connection for the tank — most buyers go with the 30L for larger operations. The charger is a 3000W 60A smart unit, which usually takes about 20 minutes or so for a full charge.
One thing to note is the liquid column spray shape — it's not ideal for fine mist application like fungicides on grapes, so your client's crop type matters here. For row crops and disinfectant spreading though, it's fine. We usually have stock on the orange and blue color options, but red can add a week to lead time (check with teh suplier).
The OEM support is flexible — they'll do custom color or nozzle configurations if you order 10 units or more. I'd recommend asking for a spare nozzle bundle upfront since the standdard kit only includes one set. No extra cost on the calibration service for bulk orders anyway.
72-hour full load test before packing in aviation aluminum cases is standard, which is better than reagent-grade handling for this equipment.
