You're looking at tungsten carbide milling burs designed specifically for the Sirona MC XL — they handle Emax lithium disilicate grinding without wearing down after a single use, and we've got a 2-year warranty backing them, so that's pretty solid. Actually, most buyers go with the Step Bur 12 or Cylinder Pointed Bur 20 depending on their restoration geometry, and they'll tell you shaper works better for finishing contours.
These aren't for every material, though — they're optimized for glass ceramics and hybrid ceramics like Emax, but we wouldn't recommend them for high-speed zirconia roughing (that's the Finisher 10's job, and it's a different beast). The shank diameter is a standard 3.5mm, so they lock into the MC XL spindle without adapters, and overall length runs about 38mm or so depending on the model.
We usually have stock on the Step Bur 12S and Cylinder Pointed Bur 12S, but the Shaper 25RZ and Finisher 10 can take 20 days or so to ship — check lead time if you're in a rush. Each bur is individually packaged, comes with a COA form the Hunan facility, and we'll send the CE cert with the order.
What it does is cut cleanly through lithium disilicate without chipping the margins — that's the tungsten carbide talking, not diamond coating, which is actually better for edge retention. The 0.02 kg weight per bur means they're light enough for the spindle to maintain RPM without vibration, and the MOQ is just 2 pieces, so you can test a Step Bur and a Finisher together.
One detail you might not think to ask: the effect length on the Step Bur 12 is about 13.7mm, but the Cylinder Pointed Bur 12S has a slightly different taper angle — roughly 2 degrees or so — so if you're doing deep cavity prep, go with the point. We've seen labs use these for 50+ restorations before noticing any dulling, though shelf life is 3 years from manufacutre.
Anyway, the origin is Hunan, China, trademarked under Vsmile — we're not pushing a story here. They work on Sirona MC X and XL systems, but not the XLM without confirming spindle compatibilty, so double-check your machine's chuck. That's basically it.
The shank diameter is 3.5 mm, which is the standard size for Sirona MC XL machines. They'll fit right into the tool holder without any adapter needed.
