It's pretty much designed for those bigger garden jobs where a standerd 12V just won't cut it—we see a lot of guys on estates and farms using it for around fence lines and under dense bushes, teh 800W brushless motor handles thick grass without bogging down, and the 60V system means you're not tethered to a power cord or swapping batteries every ten minutes.
You get a 16-inch width with a dual 0.08-inch line, and it bumps to 6000 RPM under load (idle is around 4300) so it chews through overgrown stuff fast, and the 2.5Ah battery gives you about 35 minutes of run time—charge time is the same at 35 minutes, so you can swap and go basically without a break if you've got a second pack.
The 5Ah option is better for big property, but most buyers go with the 2.5Ah because it's lighter and the fast charger makes downtime negligible anyway, and at 3.5kg or so without the battery it's not too bad on the shoulders even after an hour of edging.
500+ charge cycles on the lithium cells, and brushless motor (it's actually a pretty unit) should outlast most brushed trimmers by a long shot—though we can't promise perfect reliability if you're hitting rocks or gravel, that's just physics, and the bump feed system works fine for 5-meter line refills.
Lead time on the ST8 is usually 2-3 weeks for the 2.5Ah kit, and we can ship with a COA for the battery cells if you need it (check with me on that), MOQ is 50 units for factory pricing or we can do sample orders if you're just testing the market first.
Anyway, it's not really suited for heavy brush with steel blades despite the power—you'll want a proper brushcutter for that—but for normal grass and light weeds it's better than most gas units for noise and maintenance, and the GS and ETL certs mean you're covered for most commerical use cases.
That 35-minute figure is based on continuous operation at rated power. If you're just doing light trimming, you can get a bit more out of it. We also offer a 5Ah battery option that roughly doubles that run time.
Yes, we can share the CE, ETL, and GS certificates—just ask your sales rep. We keep them on file and are happy to send copies for your compliance check.
MOQ is typically 50 units for the trimmer itself, but you can split between 2.5Ah and 5Ah battery kits. Contact us for smaller trial orders if needed.
The line diameter is 2.0mm, which is pretty common, but we recommend using our own spools for the bump feed system to avoid jamming. Third-party lines that fit may work, but no guarantee on feeding.
The 2.5Ah battery charges in about 35 minutes. The 5Ah takes roughly 70 minutes. Yes, we sell the 4A fast charger separately if you need extras for your crew.
