We're ordering 30 pairs of the IN510A-10 pliers, 10-inch length, 350g each — delivery should hit within 20 days or so from the Shenzhen warehose, but confirm lead time since they sometimes run short on the dipped red handles.
They're basically slip joint pliers with a box joint and chrome vanadium steel construction, jaw hardness runs HRC58-63 which is better than most standdard tools for and twisting, and the insulation rating is 1000V VDE certified so they'll pass any site safety audit we've got coming up.
The chrome plating is decent but not industiral-grade heavy — it'll hold up for electricla work but don't use them for prying or hammering, the dipped handle will crack if you abuse it that way.
What it does is combine wire stripping, and twisting in one tool, which saves us from buying three separate pairs for each electrician's kit, and the box joint gives you less play than a lap joint when you're torquing on a stubborn nut.
And the VDE cert is main reason we're going with these over cheaper imports — we've had compliance flag tools without it, and the DIN standard means the insulation thickness is actually tested, not just stamped on.
Also, the red handle is pretty useful for quick identification in a crowded tool bag — most buyers go with the 10-inch for general work, though the 8-inch might be easier if you're in tight panels, but we'll stick with these.
