According to the approved drug label, NAION is not an adverse reaction of semaglutide (including certain brand - named products).

The manufacturer analyzed the randomized controlled clinical trials of its GLP - 1 receptor agonists, including blind evaluations by ophthalmologists to confirm the diagnosis of NAION. The analysis found that the number of NAION cases diagnosed by ophthalmologists was very small, and there was no imbalance problem that was unfavorable to the GLP - 1 products.
