On February 17th, Brazilian mobile communication network operator iez! announced a partnership with Huawei to advance the construction of 4G and 5G networks, aiming to improve network coverage and service quality.
This cooperation encompasses two main directions. Firstly, iez! will purchase 4G and 5G base - station equipment from Huawei to provide the foundation for network coverage in 100 cities across the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Espírito Santo.
Anderson Ferreira, the new business director of iez!, also stated that the goal of the cooperation is to extend network coverage to approximately 1,000 cities where iez! holds an operating license.
Secondly, iez! will also procure Huawei's energy - autonomous system to reduce the impact of power outages on the network and enhance network stability. The stability of power supply is crucial in network operations. This system will ensure service continuity and improve the user experience.
Ferreira pointed out that the addition of the energy - autonomous system will enhance service availability and ensure continuous connectivity even under adverse conditions.
In addition to the new infrastructure, iez! has already collaborated with Algar Telecom to build a core network using Huawei's (CaaS) model. In terms of the access network, the first batch of cities has begun to adopt Huawei's solutions.
