Traditional Lantern Festival Celebration on China's High-Speed Rail
In celebration of the traditional Lantern Festival, which fell on February 12th this year, the Beijing Railway Bureau's 'Star Intentions' crew on the G913 train from Beijing to Jilin took part in an innovative activity.
The event, titled 'Hand-Rocking Lantern Festival Celebration', was designed to bring festive cheer to passengers. The train's chief conductor, Wilda Li, transformed into a master of ceremonies and introduced the origins of the Lantern Festival.
Following her introduction, passengers joined in on the guessing game of lantern riddles. With their brilliant answers, they won prizes that reflected their personal preferences, filling the carriage with laughter and joy.
The crew also treated passengers to steaming hot Lantern Festival treats, allowing them to share in the festive atmosphere while traveling by high-speed rail. Many passengers took photos inside the beautifully decorated carriage, participating in the 'My Railway Scenic' promotion activity to record this special moment.
Train staff also provided detailed information about the train's services and amenities to passengers, making them feel more cared for during their journey.
The grand finale of the event saw crew members invite children to create their own lanterns. With colorful paper and paint, kids unleashed their imagination, crafting unique and imaginative lanterns that not only illuminated the carriage but also embodied their anticipation for the festive season.
